One of the eight precepts is avoidance of eating any animal meat of product. They also keep up a high moral standard of good deeds in their action, speaking and thinking - a colorful event held over a nine day period. The Thai Hua School at Krabi Road, Phuket, is the oldest Chinese school in Thailand, founded in 1911. Built in 1934, it is a splendid example of European-Sino-Thai architecture of the 1930s, when Phuket architecture began to depart from the Straits Settlements style. It was used as an exhibition space to promote Phuket’s artists and cultural learning center. Now it opens daily (except Wednesday) from 9.00a.m. - 7.00p.m.
